Antonio Guadagnini, son of Gaetano II, was an important representative of the Guadagnini family, a traditional instrument makers from Turin. He played a decisive role in expanding the commercial activities of the family workshop and contributed significantly to spreading the Guadagnini name in the world of musical instruments.
Under his leadership, ties with renowned workshops in Mirecourt and Paris, particularly J.B. Vuillaume, were strengthened. These partnerships enabled the family to trade in French instruments on a large scale. Antonio was known to have commissioned work based on his specifications, which was begun in Mirecourt and completed in Turin. These instruments often featured an exterior design typical of French models, while the construction elements reflected various influences, illustrating the versatility and innovative power of the Guadagninis.
